
Bruce Tansy joined the Canyon Cares Board of Directors in 2025. As a board member, he supports strategic planning and organizational oversight, with primary responsibility for technical support and management of the Canyon Cares website.
Bruce is retired after nearly 50 years in Information Technology. His career was rooted in innovation, systems management, and problem-solving, bringing valuable technical expertise and analytical insight to the organization. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Business from Purdue University.
Bruce and his wife, Susie, moved to Coal Creek Canyon from Indiana in 2012 and quickly embraced mountain life. In addition to serving on other nonprofit boards, Bruce enjoys coaching and mentoring, continuing his long-standing interest in helping others grow professionally.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking, kayaking, off-roading, reading, and traveling. Bruce and Susie are devoted animal lovers who spend time with their golden retrievers and actively support dog rescue efforts.
Bruce is committed to strengthening the canyon community and ensuring that neighbors have the support and resources they need to thrive.
