Lindy Lewis joined the Canyon Cares Board of Directors in 2022. She brings a strong commitment to mental health awareness and community education, supporting the organization’s mission to serve neighbors with compassion and dignity.

 

Lindy has spoken extensively throughout Colorado on “Understanding the Realities of Mental Health Challenges,” helping reduce stigma and increase understanding around emotional and behavioral health issues. She was recognized as one of the nation’s Top 100 Certified Mental Health First Aid instructors by the National Council for Behavioral Health, reflecting her leadership in community education and advocacy.

 

Through her professional and volunteer work, Lindy contributes valuable expertise in outreach, communication, and resource awareness—skills that strengthen Canyon Cares’ ability to connect residents with meaningful support.

 

Lindy and her husband, Steve, have lived in Coal Creek Canyon since 2010 and deeply value the resilience and connection of the mountain community. In their free time, they enjoy hiking, kayaking, and exploring the arts. Lindy is passionate about fostering a supportive environment where all neighbors feel understood and supported.
