Nancy von Schulz joined the Canyon Cares Board of Directors in 2014. A Coal Creek Canyon resident since 1985, she brings deep community insight and a strong commitment to supporting neighbors in need.

Nancy and her husband Bill, raised their two now-adult sons in the canyon while she commuted outside the canyon for much of her career. Her firsthand experience with mountain living gives her a strong understanding of both the rewards and unique challenges.

Nancy retired from the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation after more than 25 years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor serving adults with disabilities. She holds an M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Utah State University and a B.A. in Social Work from Michigan State University. Her professional background provides Canyon Cares with expertise in advocacy, resource navigation, and compassionate client support.

In retirement, Nancy has continued her dedication to service—volunteering as a client counselor at Alternative Pregnancy Center, assisting at Coal Creek K-8, serving in leadership with Bible Study Fellowship, and coordinating benevolence efforts at Chapel in the Hills.

Nancy is passionate about strengthening community awareness, encouraging service, and helping Canyon neighbors support one another.
