Karen Siefert joined Canyon Cares in 2014 at the request of the Nederland Food Pantry Board of Directors after Canyon Cares expanded services to include Nederland. She currently serves as Board President, helping guide the organization’s mission of delivering emergency assistance to the Peak to Peak community and ensuring residents have access to essential services.

Karen previously served on the Nederland Food Pantry Board of Directors and continues to volunteer, contributing to the design of its new campus and gardens. She holds both a B.S. and Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan. As a practicing architect, she brings expertise in planning, organizational oversight, and collaborative leadership to Canyon Cares, along with valuable nonprofit board experience.

An active member of the Nederland Lions Club, Karen remains deeply engaged in community service. She and her husband, Harry Jacobson, have been residents of the Nederland area since 1984.

Karen is committed to strengthening local partnerships and supporting neighbors through thoughtful leadership and service.
